The store is up and running now.

It has PDF versions of the published books available in a size suitable for eReaders, like the Nook and other such devices. Basically it’s not a full letter-sized page so you can actually read the words without having to scroll to the side all the time.

Of course, if you have a Kindle, go to the Kindle store instead, as it has an adjustable format letting you enlarge the text without the page getting larger than the screen.

The initial photo for the cover of Price. Still has a lot of photoshop work to do on it and I might need to re-take the original photograph of the painting, but this is good enough to see what it will look like when it’s finished.

On Vampires

Vampires are composed of two qualities: Love story and Violence. When you have these two in the right proportion, it’s a good story. When you have some sissy write a teenage heartthrob romance mush, and include vampires, it makes me gag.

Now, to be fair, I only saw the first movie. My wife tells me the books give a fairer representation of vampires, but my contention is simple:

Vampires start with a v. Violence starts with a v. Vampires, by this simple logic, have a focus on violence. Romance, which starts with an r, is the 6th letter in vampire, so it should have 6th importance. The other letters stand for Age, Murder, Power, Irrascibality, Existentialism and Sex.

Now, any decent vampire yarn contains these factors in approximately the same importance as the letters occur in the name. Mixing it up gives you something lame, like Ripemavs. Which is about the sequence it occurred in the movie. Nobody likes ripemavs. We want vampires, dammit!

Actually, to be more accurate, I’m editing. Editing is like writing, only you’re not. I know that makes a lot of sense, but there you have it.
